APRI (Advanced Photonics Research Institute) is the government-supported research institute established in 2001 to carry out Research & Development in the field of photonics and promote international collaboration with other research institutes, academia, and industries. We are pleased to announce that the 14th Summer School on Lasers and Laser Applications (SSOLLA 2024) will be held at APRI, GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology) in Gwangju, Korea.

The SSOLLA 2024 program will offer educational programs covering both fundamental principles and applications of laser technology in English, which will be provided by APRI researchers and GIST professors. Our main goal is providing participants with an opportunity to interact with experts from APRI and to learn about the latest advancements in photonics.

New innovations in photonics are being widely applied to various fields, including biology, nano-materials, and communications. The curriculum covers topics such as laser safety, applied optics, nano/biophotonics, and optics experiments, etc.
