World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade option lets players boost the gear rating of an item upgrader kit up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. In addition some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. This bonus could be greater than the damage that a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the weapon will continue to rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also alter the stats of the base. While this is usually beneficial but it can also have negative effects as well. Upgrades can make things impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to increase their performance. This can boost the defense base of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit 3 times less often, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the item level upgrade menu using the arrows that circle. The item level upgrade will be rerolled and alter its stats but it won't reset the weapon's level nor connect to the status of your account.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, making traversing tough areas a breeze. Generally speaking, the more defense your character is, the more value you get out of each point of health you possess, so it's important to improve your armor as often as you can.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them and each one requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in frigid conditions with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with your friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock perks for your armor. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few upgrades to your helmets and chest armor that permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, if consumed, give the player the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five types of potions, each having a specific set of effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a craft table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion and the Item upgrader kit's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that allows you to choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll offer when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For example splash potions now have an average duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item). The potion table can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and refills the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potions has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to a small ornament or object that has a purpose but isn't essential as a Thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items which can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing statistics.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. A player can upgrade their trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the previous trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

When the old Trinkets are not usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other items of gear they will not be replacing in the near future (for example an earring or cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade players should take into account the class's preferred stats. For instance, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.

After they've become unusable trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1percent bonus. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying new ones.
