UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Over time, the handles on your doors will wear out and require replacement. In this case, it is essential that the new handles match the dimensions of the previous handle.

A lever handle is a contemporary door handle designed to suit new or replacement doors. This type door handle is offered in a variety of designs and finishes. This handle is available from several manufacturers including Avocet ERA Fullex Hoppe Mila Millenco Yale.

The door handles of uPVC/Composite are made of robust materials and are ideal for doors with multi-point locks that require a heavy duty design. The handles are inline and run off the same spindle and screw fixings, so they are easily installed on doors made of uPVC/Composite, either new or old.

The design of the sprung lever allows the handle to be placed and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been endurance-tested to 200 000 cycles. This helps ensure that the quality of finish and performance will last for a long time. The sprung lever can be shortened to fit the widest range of locks. This is especially useful in doors with smaller door frames in which the cylinder is further back. A shorter lever can be used for doors that have a latch that can be activated with the thumb inside.

Lever Pad

A Lever Pad upvc door handle operates differently from lever-type handles on doors. These handle types are either operated by a single spindle or by two spindles, either inline or offset. They are usually employed on upvc windows handles double-glazed doors and are available in a variety of variations and styles.

To make sure that the euro cylinder is of the right size for your door, it must be measured correctly. The cylinder must be measured from the central screw hole to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn should there be one. It is best to do this while the lock is in place however, when this isn't possible, you can take it off to measure. A cylinder that protrudes beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks such as snapping locks, therefore it is crucial that it's not too long.

The design of most newer cylinders comes with anti-drilling as well as bump resistance features. They are designed to minimize attacks by forcing cylinders to turn in a new direction. This can help to deflect attacks and ensure your door is secure.

Some cylinders are designed to resist snapping. This is an increasingly common method of attack on cylinders, where the break line in the lock is targeted using a special tool to snap off the front of the cylinder and allow the door to open. Spring Cassette

This spring cassette is located in the base plate of the door handle. It offers a spring-loaded solution to help return your multipoint lock handles back to their normal position after use. There was a time when handles did not have a spring integrated into them, and without it they are more likely to slide or drop once the locking mechanism has been disengaged. This simple feature is among the best ways to correct this and it is also an excellent way to stop your doors made of upvc from getting stuck in either closed or open position, as these are not always easy to manually close by hand.

The spring cassettes were made to be used with sprung multipoint lock. They will not fit handles that aren't sprung and you'll need to cut a hole into your backplate for them to fit. They feature an elongated square that accommodates an 8mm spindle and they are supplied individually.
