The Best robot vacuum that mops Hoover

The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and it will leave your floors spotless. Its price is surprisingly low and features that are high-end (such as dirt detection) are great features.

Be sure to regularly examine the brushes of your robot for hair that is tangled as well as large debris and wash them if needed. Some models will also empty the onboard dustbin and deposit it in an additional bin at the base. This can reduce the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They are equipped with top-of-the-line motors which can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the top model) they employ intelligent mapping to design precise floor plans and eliminate household obstacles like furniture leg. The robots also feature Carpet Boost, a feature that increases its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept in removing hair from dogs. However, they do have a few flaws that keep them from being our top choice. For instance, the Q5's navigation doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to get caught up in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good value, especially if your office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and you can use it when you're at work or school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't hold on well and aren't able to take on dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. If you want to, you can swap the mopping pad to dry ones in just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its smart cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and effective in tackling larger particles, like pet hair. It also features an impressive suction system and a self-emptying bin. It's the best robot hoover for carpets, but it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performing mop and vacuum combination uses advanced sensor technology to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste and it also learns your home's layout over time to provide more efficient cleaning. You can modify its cleaning schedule and set up zones through the well-designed app. Its battery life is average in comparison to similar models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to take off and extend its mops. This will help prevent cross-contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach beneath low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing, X30 Ultra was the quickest robot vacuum/mop that could clean an entire home and had 66 percent of its battery remaining. It also did a great job of cleaning a mix of floors and rooms with mixed flooring types, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was superb and it was able to avoid fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles cables.

It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming it, something we've not seen on other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the compact models this mop and robot automatic vacuum and mop robot is one of the most attractive looking models in our evaluations. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features such as enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that has a perfect 10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and it boasts industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an easy mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device that could be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you try to fall asleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, but it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally powerful and look better. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient, but it's going to cost you more and produce more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot vacuum that mops robot vacuum and mop. It comes with a variety of advanced features that will make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine that is similar to Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically empty the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and cleans and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and detect obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its top competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front to detect hazards in real-time but this was not reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also has an attribute called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house based on how dirty the areas are.

For larger homes it's worth looking for models that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean one particular area of your home via the app or voice controls. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair mode is also useful. Additionally a recharge and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to pick up right where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you might think from its price. It is a good vacuum cleaner and was able to remove 55% of debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using a single pad and a rotating motion which is cleaner than the majority of the robot mop cleaners that we've examined. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate a mapping run that collects data on your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, arrange the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritise your dirtiest rooms to ensure better performance. The app offers a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums that mop vacuums, which means it can get to corners and under furniture more easily. It also has strong 8,000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for hair of pets. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It does a good job vacuuming but is more prone to getting caught on low thresholds and is louder than the other top robotic vacuums we've examined. It also has an app that's not as intuitive, and a smaller base station that doesn't double as a bin to empty.
