World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade option lets players boost an item upgrader mod's gear rating up 700 points and also add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. In certain instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade items by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is usually a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. Upgrades can render items unusable, unless you are very lucky.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. For example, if you upgrade a helm or chest, it will boost its base defense while a belt and gloves will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will get when upgraded and their relative values. This means that the weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times as it is an absolute statistic.

A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the item menu. This will reroll an item upgrader mod and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which makes traversing tough areas a breeze. The more defense your character is, the more value you will get from every point of health therefore it is important to improve your armor as much as possible.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four of them, and each requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and completed the corresponding fountain and then you can talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a large group of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense so that you're able to withstand a rout with your comrades.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll want to work on upgrading it for physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll use to beat the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to allow you to sneak around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, when consumed, provide the user with a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP, which can be earned by making them on a table or the Alchemist's chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI where you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a potion is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate in the event that you use it again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions for instance have now a duration of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item. The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. The same is true for using a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will deplete the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

There are also lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone. The potion table is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a tiny and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that has a purpose but isn't essential, like a trinket. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets, unlike other items which can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing statistics.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying an entirely new one. One can upgrade their trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as old one, and will come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they're no longer useful and allows players to increase their power and worth over time. They can also be traded between players and are an attractive alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries, and finally other pieces of gear that they won't replace soon (for example an earring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade items. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl after they are no longer useful and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
