Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For example, you can opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is able to operate for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend however we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum only or a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

It is able to change its direction in a way that is automatic hoover and clean around them, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.

The only issue I have found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's intelligent features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a perfect choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect the moment when the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available, but it packs in a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.

The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum cleaner best vacuums and mop models and could be a great method to keep your home clean for longer.

There's a plethora of options available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. They can be set through the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles rather than using the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list, but it's still not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
