Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives a linear increase in a given stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain a level gauge for each of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item varies with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An upgrade for an item in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be accomplished by a variety of methods through the use of upgrade components or by increasing an item's rarity or mark level. A lot of items can be reforged to increase their stats.

There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available throughout all over the world, as well as rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable weapons, such as foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any mods in any way.

Glyphs

The majority of upgrade components that are added to items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use, but it's not been applied to gear yet, you can transfer the item to a different piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can remove any glyph with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is located will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be retrieved with the glyph shards.

Reroll tokens
