World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For example an item with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be available during the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure how much it will be improved following the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item upgrades will be obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. upgrade items Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, and some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using a Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to be reached, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets leveled up.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This can be a disadvantage in that it could cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with an initial level and a totally different set of bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants a buff if the player continuously enters or exits the water. This item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader mod upgrader NPC. The upgrade item of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit damage to attack, other effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost listed above.
